Rogue - Uncanny Avengers

Rogue is a power stealing mutant, X-Man and new Avenger (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogue_(comics)). She used to say ya'll a lot but now she and the rest of the Avengers Unity squad are too busy trying to bone each other.
Getting The Look
Rogue's Uncanny Avengers costume is a cool throwback to her original uniform, but way sluttier (if a hooded outfit can be considered slutty). Adding thigh high boots makes any outfit 200% sluttier.

This is a simple costume to put together in DC Universe Online... provided it's Christmas, or you've been playing for a while. Everything except the chest piece is available at character creation, but the chest piece itself is currently only available once a year during the Christmas event. I've tried putting this look together with a combination of other pieces but no other chest/belt/leg combinations have the white stripe down the middle with the belt and... I don't know what to call that... a tiny skirt? Kung-Fu GI or Firefighter chests are close, but lack the belt and are styles that stop you equipping a separate belt style.

Rogue's hair is probably her most recognisable trait and it's something you can't duplicate in DCUO. Luckily she always wears the hood as part of her current costume, making hair style and colour choice irrelevant.

Body type is Monarch small. You could chose pretty much any personality type, but I went for Powerful.

Power, Movement and Weapon Choice
The fun of building Rogue in DCUO is that you can pick any power, or combination of powers, you like. I wanted my Rogue to have a mix of powers we've seen her absorb in the comics. Quantum gives you access to teleporting (Nightcrawler), gravity powers and shields (Magneto) and also the swirly hand buff that reminds me of Rogue copying Wonder Man's powers. You can then add Iconic powers like Heat Vision (Cyclops' optic blasts) and skills from any of the three movement tress. I chose Super Speed, purely because I hadn't had a speedster character in game, and also because it's cool visually. Flight or acrobatics would work just as well.

I always think of Rogue as a brawler, no matter her powerset, so Brawling was the obvious choice. You could easily give her any weapon type you wanted and argue that she absorbed the skill to use it from someone else: a staff (Gambit), Hand Blaster (Havok) etc.

Accuracy and Playability
This comes pretty close to Rogue's Uncanny Avengers outfit. The fur trim at the bottom isn't the best, but it's a close approximation: 7/10. You can use any power, build, weapon and movement type combination here, making it a pretty flexible and playable toon. However there's nothing to replicate Rogue's primary power to copy super abilities: 8/10!
