Emma Frost

Emma Frost is a telepath who can turn to diamond (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emma_Frost). She likes boob tubes, Scott Summers and Jean Grey being dead. She was one of the main cast of Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men.
Getting The Look
Emma Frost''s Astonishing look is very easy to put together. The closest thing to the chest piece is the Divine style, which is the reward from the Gotham University collection (http://dcuo.mmorpg-life.com/1041/collection/gotham-university/). This can be found in the immediate area around Gotham University or purchased pretty reasonably on the broker. The gloves, cape, boots and pants are all available at character creation.
The belt style is Gorilla Soldier, which is the reward from the Gorilla Island briefing (http://dcuo.mmorpg-life.com/232/briefing/gorilla-island/). It's a nice slimline look with a clasp, and the design at the front even looks a little like an X.

While these elements don't match exactly with Emma's comic costume, the combination of the Divine chest and Classic cape come fairly close. Add in the all white colour scheme and distinctive white/blue lips and you have a very recognisable Emma Frost. The Crystalline skin style makes a great diamond form.

For body type I used Monarch Small, my standard choice. I chose Powerful for personality type, but Flirty would work equally as well.

Power, Movement and Weapon Choice
The Mental powerset, focusing on the Illusion tree best represents Emma Frost's telepathic powers with Acrobatics for movement type. The acrobatics tree provides a range of melee attacks that come in handy when putting together a loadout for Emma's diamond form, since in the comics the switch prevents Emma from using her telepathic powers.

You can run Emma as either a DPS or a controller, but you will need two different builds and weapon types for her telepathic and diamond forms. In her normal form Emma is more of a long range attacker, so neither Martial Arts or Brawling fits. I chose Hand Blasters as the closest representation for her striking from a distance with telepathic blasts. In diamond form you can pick and choose from the Acrobatics tree abilities, mixed with Grandeur, Reflect Pain and Convalesce; then add Brawling as your weapon type.

Thanks to Armories you can switch between telepathic and diamond forms on the fly.

Accuracy and Playability
This build is a lot of fun to play and I was surprised how many people recognised me as Emma Frost in game. The chest piece and cape could do with some improvement, but it's highly unlikely we will get an off the shoulder cape. I give the look: 8/10. Having the flexibility to switch between different builds on the fly means that you have the flexibility to play Emma in telepathic or diamond forms and effectively as both a controller or DPS: 8/10.
