Firestar (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firestar) is a mutant, capable of projecting microwaves from her body. The radiation, not like rectangular metal cooking machines. Though she started life in a Spider-Man cartoon, the character has since been a Hellion, Avenger and finally one of the X-Men.
Getting The Look
An extremely easy style to put together, provided you have a high enough CR to access The Demon's Pit duo.
Firestar has worn many versions of this costume with slight variations, so I've gone for a more classic look. Usually there is no decoration on her chest, but without a belt every other top piece matched badly at the waist. The Flames chest is the only one that synced up nicely with the Flames pants style.
Similarly there is no way to get the same flaming decoration on the arms as on the legs, so Formal gloves are the closest approximation.
The Orange Nimbus Aura really completes this look. It really gives the effect of streams of microwave radiation cascading off of her. Added together with the buffs and effects from Atomic and you can make a much more accurate looking Firestar than if you had used the Fire powerset.
Metalhead face, Formal hands, Flames chest and Flames legs - All available at character creation. If you did not select these styles at character creation you can find all of them for purchase from style vendors in your HQ (Watchtower or Hall of Doom).
Al Ghul hair - Is the Resurrect the World briefing reward. You can find this within The Demon's Pit duo, which requires a PvE CR of 131.
Orange Nimbus Aura - As this aura style is no longer available your can only acquire it by coughing up some cash on the broker. Though the Nimbus auras are becoming increasingly more rare, you can still find them for sale from time to time.

Character Choices
Power: Atomic, Weapon: Hand Blaster, Movement: Flight, Body Type: Monarch Small,
Personality: Powerful.
Firestar doesn't create actual flames, but rather emits radiation. So while the Fire powerset might seem like the obvious choice Atomic is actually a much better fit, both thematically and visually.
Despite the stupid radiation symbol that pops up on some abilities, Atomic has some really beautiful looking effects, such as the glowy energy hand buff that works perfectly for Firestar.

Finally back! Hope you post more stuff soon.
ReplyDeleteLove this, very simple and basic. Reminds me of classic Spiderman & Super Friends cartoon look.
